The Secret To Marital Harmony

I know what some of you are thinking. Some would say the real secret to marital happiness is more related to this post. That’s for the League to privately discuss. Today is all about the amazing power we have as women.
I am a firm believer in the old adage, “If Mamma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” As women we set the emotional tone in our homes. The happiest of families can be quickly made tense, squabbly and depressed when the matriarch’s mood is sour. It is a very rare occurrence that family members can stay unhappy in the face of a cheerful woman.
As wives so much of our influence is subtle. Our most powerful tool is the quiet, strong and consistent influence we have on our husbands. A wife who builds up her spouse is a true gift to him, to herself and to everyone the couple comes in contact with. Men need their wives to be a loving and positive influence. They crave it just as they crave food, water and air.
Your assignment for the weekend is to be aware of your countenance. When you enter the room give your children and especially your husband a smile. It is such a small thing to do and you will reap such wonderful results.
So often we walk around with a half frown and knitted eyebrows. Not only does this cause wrinkles, but the people we influence, simply by our all important presence, are subconsciously affected.
This weekend when entering a room, making eye contact through the day or passing in the hall -give your husband, and children, a smile. See what magic happens next.
